Laguna
de Apoyo is an ancient volcanic crater
lake that is over 48 square kilometers
in size and the water is a constant
85 degrees Fahrenheit. Its waters
are said to have healing powers (due
to the mineral content) and they are
warm and crystal clear year round.
The location is perfectly suited for
all sorts of outdoor and aquatic activities
and visitors enjoy diving, snorkeling,
hiking, sailing, fishing, birding,
swimming, wildlife viewing and much
more on and around the Laguna. Los
Congos is home to at least 2 types
of monkeys - howler and white face,
160 varieties of butterflies, hundreds of orchids,
plants, reptiles, birds and is
full of incredible trees. This property
is a wonderland of nature and will
remain so through our methods of eco-conscious
