Progress up to March 12th

Greetings from Nicaragua
Here at Laguna SA we have made a lot of progress over the last several months. Our team has been working with top Nicaraguan specialists to make the Los Congos vision a reality. The quality of planning determines the quality of the end product and we have been planning every thing down to the smallest detail. Geological and Hydrological studies have been taking place to determine the prime locations for wells, wastewater treatment, and roads. We have cleaned out underbrush so that topographical surveys and tree maintenance can take place. We have found areas in Los Congos that were hidden until we ventured into the dense jungle. In addition, we have explored areas previously unknown to us and have found many natural formations that will be accessible by trail systems in the near future. Once the green season is upon us in another month or two, we will be planting and expanding the organic gardens and orchards.
The nature preserve has been fully established and rules have been put into place to protect Los Congos. We have hired park rangers to educate local people on the importance of preserving Los Congos. These rangers walk the property and ask that visitors remove trash that they create. We have also banned open fires, hunting, and cutting of trees for firewood. Slowly the local people are learning the importance of protecting the property. Los Congos will remain a place for all to enjoy into future.
Since we last posted we have designed and released two additional sections of Los Congos. Laguna Vistas a four acre area of Los Congos has thirteen, two bedroom, two bathroom Bungalows that all have panoramic views of the Laguna. Perched on a ridge amidst stunning old growth trees, the Bungalows enjoy privacy and convenience. This area will have its own pool and rental check-in. Only several Bungalows remain.
The second new area, The Resort at Los Congos, is now available for pre-construction sales. There are only 14 units in this area that are still available. These houses designed by Hal Sorrenti of Sorrenti Designs bring the ?Outdoors In and the Indoors Out?. To take advantage of the topography of this area, the Villas have been designed so that they can adapt to the landscape. One Villa has several structures that can be situated as needed. All of the Villas have beautiful views of the water and enjoy comfortable breezes from the laguna. The Resort will contain its own hotel check in, spa, community pools, and
La Terraza has also seen exceptional sales and many of the 33 custom home lots have been sold. Starting tomorrow March 13, 2007 construction of first leg of the road will commence. Using stone found on the property the road will be hand laid in the traditional Nicaraguan style. Because this road is made of stone found on the property, it will blend into the natural landscape. Construction of the road will occur over the next four to eight weeks.
We are very excited about moving forward on construction of the Bungalows, Villas, and Custom homes in the near future.
Los Congos is an example for responsible development. As we move forward we find more and more ways to preserve and protect this natural paradise! We hope to see you soon!
